Expressed hope of better coordination & positive approach to serve public
Ganderbal, Mar 26: In his very first meeting with media fraternity of Ganderbal, Senior Superintendent of Police, Suhail Munawar Mir (JKPS) interacted with mediamen and expressed hope of better coordination and positive approach, so that the society would be better served on ethical and honest lines.
The men from media introduced themselves along with their respective organisations to the SSP and welcomed him to the district as the new district police chief.
The threadbare discussion took place under a conducive environment where SSP appreciated the role of media and pinned hopes on the media fraternity in reflecting positivity to the masses. SSP also sought help and valuable suggestions from the media fraternity to work effectively on the eradication of social evils and crime.
He stressed on mutual cooperation for peace, prosperity and welfare of the society.
Media fraternity while extending its wholehearted cooperation also support to Police, assured that the mutual respect and the better understanding would serve the ethical cause of Press and Police in the society.
On the occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Headquarters, Dr Maajid was also present who at the end thanked media fraternity for accepting the invitation and making it up in short notice. In return, press fraternity also thanked and appreciated Police department for the honour.
