SHOPIAN, FEBRUARY 11:- To create awareness among the students living in rural areas about the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Department of Information & Public Relations(DIPR), Shopian today organized a Debate cum Cultural Programme based on Covid-19 Do’s and Don’ts, here in the premises of Al-Mustafa Educational Trust Mashwara Shopian.
District Information Officer Shopian, Showkat Ahmad Khan was the chief guest on the occasion while Mushtaq Ahmad Shah presided over the function.
The Chief Guest appreciated the participants for presenting meaningful and entertaining poetic works. He urged for organizing more such types of awareness programmes for the benefit of the common masses.
Later after the debate competition a colorful cultural programme was presented by the artists of District Information Centre, Shopian and a scintillating cultural programme featuring Folk, Rouf, Kashmiri & Gojri Songs and Dramas were also presented by the students of AMET Mashwara which kept the audience spellbound and mesmerized the audience. Later Mr. Athar Hussain Balpuri of the Information Department also presented Covid-19 mazahiya kalam before the audience.
44 students participated in the debate competition and expressed their views and deliberated about the role of Covid-19. Imran Hussian of Class 10th, Arshid Farooq of Class 10th and Wajahat Ayoub of Class 10th were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the debating competition. While Bisma Ayoub of class 9th, Shahid ul Islam of Clas 10th and Sahil Haroon of class 8th were adjudged as 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Cultural competition.
